WWFC avenge defeat from earlier in the season in emphatic style.

Woking & Weybridge turned in a stylish display to thrash Sunbury Sports at The Berger as Luca Mortellaro grabbed his first hat-trick for the club in a display that was orchestrated from midfield by Tom Davis and Robbie Wilson.

After a very open start the saw us have some decent chances, we were awarded a penalty after Joey Stevens was barged over in the box. Unfortunately Joey's penalty was weak and the keeper made a smart save. Was his hangover to blame, or was it the fact he had to wear large shorts?

Sunbury then took advantage of some sloppy play by us at the back that culminated in a fine finish by their tall striker from 25 yards.

We got back on the front foot and after a couple of good opportunities we did level. A corner wasn't cleared properly allowing Giles Smith to spread the play to Joey out wide on the right. Joey's first time cross was superbly delivered and Luca scuffed a shot back across the keeper that their midfielder could only fire into the roof of the net.

Despite continuing to play the better football, we nearly allowed Sunbury to the take the lead again on the counter as they hit the bar with a header.

Then just before half time Sunbury lost the ball under pressure to Joey at the back and he turned inside his man and curled home into the far corner to give us a crucial lead.

In the second half Sunbury crumbled as we took total control. Our third goal was courtesy of link up play between Odg and Wils with the latter sliding through a fine pass to Joey who had all the time in the world to pass it into the net for his 9th of the season.

Sunbury hit the bar again from a corner, but Wils, Ashley Ellis, Richard Crosby and Alex Palinski all had chances to kill the game at the other end.

As it was our next two goals came from corners in the 75th and 82nd minutes and were almost identical goals by Luca. Steve delivered both from the right and the only difference was the first one was flicked on by Wils. Luca side foot volleyed both past the keeper, the second of which was the better finish. This completed Luca's hat-trick on a day he was almost unplayable. When Luca plays like this he is very difficult to stop.

The icing on the cake was provided by Ski who netted with a fantastic header from a Gilo free kick.

I said a few weeks ago that someone was going to take a beating when we clicked going forward. Today it happened. Odgie and Wils were irresistible at times creating chances, whilst we were pretty clinical in front of goal despite missing a penalty and a few clear chances.

Once again we were very solid at the back, with Rich dominating in the air in particular.

4 wins in a row and we have a great chances of extending the run if we continue to play like this.

MoM - Luca - fantastic display capped by hat-trick.

Thanks to Ads for running the line and to Harwood for filming. Apologies to Ads and Ell for not getting on.
