Joey Stevens nets 4 as WWFC pick up their first League win in emphatic fashion.

Videos of Richardy's goal and hihglights from today are on the Youtube channel.

Woking & Weybridge put a disappointing start in the League behind them with a record breaking win against St. John's Earthquakes at the Old Berger.

A week ago after throwing away the game against Witley Club I said that we had failed to turn in a complete team performance. Well we only had to wait 7 days longer for that to arrive.

Today we equalled our biggest winning margin of 10 goals and set a new record for most goals scored in one match.

What's more is this result certainly didn't flatter us. The opposition disintegrated after we scored our 6th goal, but that wasn't our problem and we continued to dismantle them right up until the final whistle.

We had to wait just over 15 minutes for the opener. A neat one-two between Joey Stevens and Tom Davis saw the former in on goal and he fired past the keeper into the far corner left footed.

Our 2nd goal was a goal of the season contender from Richard Crosby. Alex Zammit fed him 30 yards from goal and he took it past his man and dispatched a superb curling strike that found the top corner. Richardy's goals are infrequent but often spectacular.

It was 3-0 only a couple of minutes later as Oli Cochrane feasted upon a defensive error and slid Joey through and he did the rest, rounding the keeper and tapping home.

Joey completed his hat-trick 5 minutes into the second half, The move started with Damian Lynch at the back rolling out to Richardy who passed down the line to Odgie. Odg switched play and found Oli who's excellent cross was nodded (yes a header by Joey) home by Joey at the back post.

The 5th goal came soon after as Zam smashed home Joey's corner.

SJE got a goal back from a corner. This video clip might (it will) rear it's ugly head come May time.

Straight from the kick off we won ourselves a corner and after Oli's header was dropped by the keeper, James Bauldry was on hand to thump home his first goal for WWFC.

From now on in it was an avalanche of goals. Odgie made it 7, waltzing past a defender before easily beating the keeper. He was set up by Zam who had been supplied by good work from James Simpson.

Steve Holbrook scored his first WWFC goal and our 8th, with a poached finish after Joey's shot had been parried by the keeper.

Zam got the 9th goal after Joey found him from a terrible kick by their keeper. It was a composed finish when one on one.

We hit double figures a minute or so later as Steveo's cross from a short corner evaded the keeper and Oli chested it home into the empty net.

Joey finished the scoring after being set up by good work by Zam and a nice flick by Steveo. His shot was too hot for a demoralised keeper to handle.

The opposition certainly fell apart in the last 20 minutes, but if you are going to score double figures you must expect something like that to occur. What is pleasing is we continued to be ruthless in front of goal and defended with maturity in not charging forward at every chance.

In the first half we blitzed them with 3 clinical goals in the space of 5 minutes to kill the game and offered them very little chance to get back into the match.

This was a great team display. Damo had a fine game in goal. Although he was relatively untroubled saves wise, he swept up and commanded his area to alleviate any pressure on the back 4.

Defensively we were incredibly solid and bounced back superbly from last week's aberration. Richardy was a bit of a revelation at left back too.

Our midfield dominated the opposition. Having Ads back gave us the balance we have been missing in the past couple of weeks, Wils won us a lot of ball today, winning several headers and kept it simple to get us moving forward. Odgie was progressive and linked up with the attack impressively. While Steveo came off the bench and was directly involved in 3 goals.

Up front our top 3 had a bit of a field day. Zam netted twice and also notched up 2 assists and Oli got his first goal for us as well as 3 assists. As for Joey, well 4 goals and 3 assists is just tremendous.

Credit also must go to Matt for changing the system today and moving Oli forward. Clearly the tactical changes worked.

I don't care how poor the opposition were in the 2nd half. They knocked us out of the cup last year so this is some revenge for that.

This result was a long time coming and now we have got that first win under our belts hopefully we can start to charge up the table and prove our position is wrong.

Well done everyone.

MoM - Joey - some great displays today, especially by Richardy, but 4 goals, 3 assists and the fact he ran SJE's defence ragged means Joey is a deserved MoM.

Huge thanks to Andy for filming today in that atrocious weather.
