Comfortable Friendly Win

Two goals in each half were enough to see us home to a straight forward friendly victory against AFC Egham at Winston.

After a fairly even first 25 minutes where the best chance fell Egham's way, we began to find our feet and soon took control. Both Lorry and Oli hit the bar with fine efforts before Luca waltzed his way through the Egham defence and finished to give us the lead just after the half hour mark.

Neat interplay between Wicksy and Grouty saw the former fire past the keeper at his near post with pretty much the last kick of the half.

We dominated the second half and should have scored more but for some good saves by their keeper.

Charlie then latched on to Ads' flick before coolly slotting past the keeper to make it 3 with 15 minutes remaining.

Debutant Zak clinically finished off the scoring in the last minute with Grouty supplying his 3rd assist of the morning.

Technically we went up a level from last week and despite Egham not causing too many problems we turned in a much more assured defensive display leading to a deserved clean sheet.

It was disappointing to see Tob go off injured with a recurrence of his ankle injury. Hopefully it isn't a bad one and we seem him back in action soon.
