Wisley earn revenge and prevent us completing a double over them this season.

The pitch and the blustery winds meant this wasn't a game for the purists and unfortunately for us Wisley were able to adapt more effectively and took the 3 points.

We were missing Damo in goal, so Tom Hawkins kindly stood in and he did an admiral job too.

In the first half we went downhill with the wind, but too often were forcing the issue looking for killer passes too early.

We nearly took the lead on 10 minutes when Ashley Ellis played a superb through ball for in form Carl Sulzmann, but his lob went over the bar.

Wisley began to emerge as an attacking threat as the half wore on and took the lead on 25. It was a poor goal that we probably should have avoided conceeding.

Carlo had a second chance later in the half, again set up by Ash but this time he fired narrowly wide from a tight angle.

However we were lucky not to be 2-0 down at the break after WIsley missed a sitter from a corner.

Into the second half and we started pretty well going uphill, but on 55 it was 2-0 and it was a fluke goal. A mis-hit cross took a deflection and hit Silvio Sorce and dribbled past Tom in goal.

From here on in we showed great spirit as we attempted to fight back against the odds.

On 75 Lorry got us the goal our mounting pressure had deserved with an emphatic right footed finish after they failed to clear a long throw.

Sam Pike had our best chance at a leveller, firing over when his pace took him through on goal.

We were camped in their half late on but couldn't quite find the finishing touch to get a point.

This wasn't a great game and there weren't many clear cut chances for either side. Neither keeper had much work to do, and in the end a large slice of luck decided it.

On the whole I think we must admit that Wisley were marginally the better side today and probably jus about deserved the win despite our efforts late on.

Last season we only took 1 point off them, this year we took 3. hey are a strong, physical side and are very determined in the tackle. 3 points is not a bad return off them.

On the positive side it was nice to have Louis, Ash and Sam back involved and all 3 looked very sharp.

Let's bounce back next week at home to Stoughton.

Thanks to Andy and Chris for filming and to Sam for running the line for the majority of the game.

No MOM this week - some decent displays but noone really stood out.
