WWFC overcome well organised Goldsworth side despite not hitting top gear.

Plenty of absentees for this one, but it was good to welcome Coxy back for his first game in over 2 months and Rory made his debut as a substitute.

Goals midway through both halves were enough to see us pick up another 3 points in composed fashion this morning.

Although we were nowhere near the levels of the win at Abbey, we managed this game well offering Corinthians very little enthusiasm in our final 3rd.

We controlled much of the first half, creating a few good chances, but had to wait until the 24th minute to break the deadlock. Grouty won a header from their goalkick, setting Joey in behind. His cross narrowly missed Sam's run, but Sam kept it alive and delivered a fine cross that Frosty planted home with a header.

Corinthians got in behind our otherwise solid defence once, but fired way over from an acute angle. Aside from a couple of well delivered set pieces we were relatively untroubled.

The pattern of play continued in the second half and but for some wayward finishing (with most shots going over) we would have killed the game earlier than we eventually did. Luca did force the keeper into a good save, but other than that we were guilty of not making him work enough.

With 22 minutes remaining Sam sent in a long throw that Grouty flicked home to wrap the game up.

It was a shame we couldn't have added more to our recent goal glut, but you can't be clinical every week. Our extra quality did see us home in a game between two well organised defences on a sub-standard surface. Not a classic, but the points are in the bag and we move on.

No game next week as Pixham NE opted not to play us in the Jubilee Cup 2nd Round. The walkover win makes it 7 in a row in 2019.

MoM: Baulds - skipper for the day barely put a foot wrong alongside Ell who was also impressive. Mentions for Grouty who was our most influential attacking player and to Coxy who had a good return to action.
