Winning run in the league ends at 10.

It has been an unbelievable effort to even get ourselves in the title race and then to have our destiny in our own hands, but tonight we handed the initiative firmly back to JB Rangers. You'd expect them to go on to win it now and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. You never know, but we need favours.

There is little point in reviewing tonight's game in much detail. The preparation was far from ideal and I do think that worked against us, but we were simply not up to it against Guildford Albion team who wanted to avenge their cup exit by administration after they fielded an ineligible player against us.

Other than the first 20 minutes we were outplayed and after we went behind we couldn't find the required response. 2 poor goals saw us behind at half-time and although we huffed and puffed it was Albion who carried more threat as they continued to get real joy on the counter attack.

In the last 15 minutes they added two more as we got more and more desperate throwing too many players forward.

We have turned in 2 of our worst performances against them home & away and haven't had an answer to the problems they pose. They are a good team and deserved to complete a double over us.

All we can do is put this game behind us. We cannot influence where the league title goes, but we can respond in our Cup 1/2 final this coming Sunday. It's going to be a tough game and we need to show our true colours. There's always the next game and we are fortunate that it is a big one.

No MoM

Thanks to Ash, Ryan & Sam for supporting on a disappointing evening. Although it wasn't a good performance we'd like to thank all the players for their efforts in getting to the game. As said above it was not ideal travelling to Guildford in rush hour and this was not a satisfactory way for this game to be played, but it was out of our hands. Also big thanks to Grouty for playing so soon after the marathon.
