We take a look at the players who competed in the club's inaugural season.

In part one we look at a group of players which includes one of the club's coaching staff and the captain.

Eddie Agnew

Agnew made his debut for the first home game of the season in the win over Worsbrough Bridge Athletic Development. His first goal came at Sheffield Union in the following match, but it wasn't until the final game of the season at New Bohemians where Agnew netted for the second time. In 13 appearances Agnew started nine.

Jordan Beardsley

The striker joined the club towards the end of the season and with postponements and walkover wins Beardsley made just one appearance. It came in the final home game of the season against United Worksop.

Matthew Brown

Defender Matt Brown signed for the club during the first month of the season and made his debut at Swinton Athletic Reserves. Brown also appeared in the game against Caribbean Sports Reserves, however the game's records were expunged when they resigned from the league. Brown didn't appear again for the club.

Matthew Davies

The former Halifax youth joined in late 2018 and made his debut in the Association Cup Quarter Final in at Hall Green United. Work commitments limited the centre backs appearances and he managed just three in total.

Jake Dougherty

Jake is the first in our review to have played in the club's very first competitive fixture. The midfielder started in the game at United Worksop but after his appearance in the following fixture he left the club.

Matthew Dove

Returning from a lengthy injury Matt Dove trained with the club for a few weeks before finally making his debut against Worsbrough Bridge Athletic Development in January. The following game against Swinton Athletic Reserves was to be Dove's last as his injury came back to haunt him.

James Dudgeon

A big part of the season off the pitch was the coaching provided to the players by the experienced midfielder. Dudgeon also registered as a player, but was never called upon, despite being named on the bench on five occasions.

Luke Exley

Captain Luke Exley enters the record books as being the only player in the club's first season to start each of the 25 games. His first of six goals came in the 7-1 win over AFC Bentley Development in the Association Cup. With plenty of assists and non-stop running in midfield his performances saw Exley pick up the Manager's Player and Supporter's Player of the Season awards at the Presentation Evening.

Ionut Galateanu

Midfielder Galateanu came on as a sub in the opening game of the season at United Worksop, but never appeared for the club again.
