BRENTWOOD-22 v WOODFORD-5

Once again an improvement shown from the boys building on last weeks away defeat to Westcliff.

In fact at half time things looked very promising as we held a 0-5 advantage after a superb team try from Henri Hobbs, assisted by Louis Blake & Owen Morris with some neat last ditch pop passing by the trio. The lead should have been doubled as Joshua Jerrard scored a perfectly good try which was ruled out by the ref!

This really was a tale of two halves however as Brentwood scored three quick fire tries, all coming from dubious penalty decisions which put us under immense pressure on our line each time after being kicked to touch for lineouts.

Despite the loss once again there were many positives to be taken from the game, the tackling was immense and the flow of the ball seemed improved, still a way to go however to reach the standards we believe Woodford U15's should aspire to.
