Following an intensive local advertising campaign, Woodside & Fairways Bowls Clubs invited the public to try their hand at the game of bowls, at their Family Open Day last Sunday.

The all day event turned out to be a great success. On a bright and sunny day between thirty and forty people of different ages turned up to receive coaching under the supervision of the club's qualified coaches. While their mums and dads played bowls, kids played a variety of bowling games including skittles.

With a view to increasing their membership the clubs offered ongoing coaching and club membership to those who attended.
