Woolhampton's first home match of the season against Goring saw Woolhampton sneak over the line.
Woolhampton posted a score of 164 off their 35 overs - which they probably would have felt would have been enough based on recent games up at Douai.
Chris Anderson top scoring on debut this season with 27 not out after several Woolhampton batsman failed to kick on once they were "in" James Buckland (22) Chris Simmons (21) Ian Jubb (25) and Alex Vile (23) all got starts before being dismissed.
In response Goring got off to a poor start losing a wicket in the first over and it looked like it would be a comfortable win for Woolhampton before an innings of 63 from Aysh Nonpalea batting at 5 dragged Goring into contention for the win before Jubb bowled him.
Goring unable to up the required run rate fell short by 1 run and Woolhampton sealed the victory.
