Woolston ‘A’ travelled to league leaders Thatto Heath Crusaders ‘B’ and produced a brilliant performance in driving rain to come away with a deserved win in a hard fought NWML Division Three game on Saturday afternoon.

Rovers were on top from the start and built up a 10-0 half time lead that was increased early in the second half and despite the home side getting themselves back into contention late on it was the Green & Gold men who were celebrating at the end with a superb 17-12 victory.

Tries for Rovers were scored by centre Craig Middlemore, prop forward Josh Sudlow and scrum half Ben Dixon. Dixon also added two conversions and a drop goal.
