Woolston Rovers side return to action, after a weekend off due to the Saddleworth Rangers game being postponed, when they entertain Clock Face Miners in the NCL League C on Saturday afternoon at the Limestone Construction Field, Monks Sports Club.

Rovers, who had an excellent win at Waterhead last time out, will be hoping that they can build on that with only their second home game of the season against Clock Face and Head of Rugby Mal Holt is looking forward to playing on their own pitch. He said, “It has been six weeks since we last played at home, having played four away games in that time, so it will be nice to get back to familiar surroundings. It was a shame that the game was called off at Saddleworth, but it was out of our hands, and we fully understand in the current circumstances. The lads have trained really well, and we will continue to do that this week to make sure we are in tip-top condition to face a Clock Face side who are always difficult opponents. We have had some great battles with them over recent years and I am sure this will be another close encounter. The attitude of all the Open Age squad has been superb all year and that is showing in both teams results; we have lads pushing for an NCL jersey and that is keeping everybody on their toes which is benefiting both of our teams.”
