Woolston Rovers will be hoping to move into top spot in the league table when they entertain Millom in their re-arranged Kingstone Press National Conference League Division Three on Tuesday evening. Kick off is 6.45pm at The Sadore Construction Field, Monks Sports Club. The game was originally scheduled to take place a week last Saturday but Millom were stuck behind a serious road traffic accident that closed the road out of Barrow.

Rovers trail leaders Hunslet Warriors by one point with a game in hand, whilst Heworth and Batley Boys are currently four points behind in third and fourth place so a win over Millom would give Rovers a six point cushion in the race for automatic promotion with only four games remaining. Rovers also enjoy a healthy points difference over each team in the league.

Head Coach Mal Holt is keen for his players to continue to play in the manner that they have done over the past couple of months. He said, ”We have been really focussed on getting the job done and the manner in which we have controlled games has been pleasing and that is why we have got ourselves into such a great place. The team spirit is unbelievable with everybody working for each other and with lads coming back from injury we now have the best squad we have had for several years. It is the right time of the season to have most of the lads available and with last week being our first outing for four weeks they are all really fresh. Millom will be a tricky game; they had a great victory last weekend in the Cumbrian ‘derby’ over Hensingham so that will give them some confidence but I have great belief in the boys to go out their on Tuesday and make it ten games unbeaten in the league.”
