Welcome to the 2025 Worcester Park Lions for 4- to 16-year-olds with our lions branding and clothing, led by our professional coaching team alongside our volunteer parent helpers.

For 2025 we are also committed to developing our girls league teams, with a view to expand this in future years through our all stars, dynamos softball and hardball cricket opportunities.

Coaching
For 2025 our coaching team will be deliver our exciting weekly coaching programme alongside our existing volunteer coaches. This continues to provide our Lions with the best possible coaching and allow the club to grow sustainably.

Costs
The cost for the 2025 season is £160 (£130 for siblings), with each booking providing a family membership to access the social club and bar.

During these tough times, if the cost is a barrier for continuing cricket at WPCC, please approach one of the age group managers. We would be open to discussing your situation to ensure your child can continue to enjoy playing cricket at WPCC.

All Stars (Aged 4-8)

We ran one of the most popular all stars centre in Surrey in 2024 and for 2025 will once again be running our popular coaching programme on Tues, Thurs and Fri evenings, providing a fantastic first experience for all children aged 4-8 where they’re guaranteed 10 weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development. The programme is designed to introduce children to the sport in a fun way, teach them new skills, and help them make friends. All Stars starts May 2025 with bookings opening in Mar.

Dynamos (8-11 year olds)
Dynamos Cricket provides a fantastic basic introduction for all children aged 8-11 who are new to the sport! Complementing junior cricket, Dynamos provides children with a more social offer, focused on developing fundamental movement skills and applying them in an exciting game of countdown cricket. Dynamos starts May 2025.

Lions teams

We have expanded our Surrey Junior Cricket Championship league entries in 2025 to include:
U9: Two Tier 2 softball pairs teams (6-8-a-side) plus a little league
U10: Two teams - Tier 2 Hardball (8-a-side)
U11: One team - Tier 2 Hardball
U12: One team - Tier 2 Hardball
U13: Two Teams - Tier 2 hardball & Tier 3 Hardball
U14 One team
while providing opportunities for our U16s to access senior cricket through friendly T20 matches and other fixtures.

The outdoor coaching season kicks off at the club week commencing Monday 6 May with coaching groups as follows:
Training Days
Tuesday - U10 & U11
Wednesday - Adults
Thursday - Girls, U9 & U12
Friday - U13 & U14

Most matches are played on Sunday mornings, with U9s playing on Saturday Mornings. We also sometimes arrange friendlies for all age groups on Monday or Friday evenings.

All registrations are now to be made through our Spond membership portal for new and existing members (Under 9 and over). Follow the link below and you can begin registration when it opens. Please follow the links to All Stars/Dynamos to book direct for these, not through the below process.

Wet weather
In the event of rain on training nights, or heavy rain during previous days, parents MUST check with coaches that practice is still on BEFORE leaving their son or daughter at the club. Please keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter for updates.

Volunteers
We are always looking for parent helpers on club nights and matchdays, progressing onto coaching courses if desired - please contact The Lions Team if you are interested in getting involved.
