Exasperation

Match referee, Graeme Fyvie (pictured), wasn't happy with the state of the pitch following torrential rain in the three hours before his arrival.

He agreed to have a second check of the playing surface and confirmed the postponement just after 2pm.

The club had followed all procedures and arranged for a pitch inspection at 8.30am even though it wasn't necessary at that point. Then the rains came and, exactly like the situation two weeks ago, the referee postponed the game after the visiting team and supporters’ coaches had arrived.

A frustrating day all round.
