Saturday’s legendary line-up at Borough Park has now been confirmed.

It could possibly be the last time football is played at the famous old stadium and a day of events for fans and family has been put together.

The programme begins with a junior football competition at 10am, with medals presented at 12.50pm.

Reds fans will get their first chance to see the Legends and current team members warm up from 1pm, before chairman John Mackay addresses the crowd at 1.20pm.

Workington Reds Ladies will give a lap of honour at 1.25pm, showing off the Women’s County Cup trophy they lifted last week after beating Penrith.

The Reds Legends will get an introduction to the crowd from 1.35pm, with both teams coming on to the pitch 10 minutes later.

The big match kicks off at 2pm, competing for the Tony Hopper Memorial Trophy. Medals will be awarded by Tony’s father at 4pm.

There is plenty of entertainment still to come. A big screen will be wheeled out onto the pitch to show live the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Watford, kicking off at 5pm.

While the final is on, behind the screen there will be children’s entertainment, foot golf, darts football, charity stalls, face painting and more.

Finally, at 7pm in the Tony Hopper Bar, there will be an auction of Reds memorabilia from the day, and from around the ground.
