Nailers out to nail us
Already relegated Belper Town will be hoping to put a dent in Reds play-off aspirations and maintain their impressive record against us.
In thirteen previous encounters, Reds have only managed three wins, compared to Town’s seven successes, and have failed to score in four of our six visits to picturesque Christchurch Meadow.
Manager Gavin Skelton gave the squad a night of training this week in the hope of resting tired limbs after the recent demanding schedule. It will be the first of successive Saturday trips to Derbyshire, and the two hundred mile journey, with the home game against Trafford sandwiched in between.
Gari Rowntree will return to the squad after serving his suspension while Conor Tinnion (wrist), Scott Allison (knee), Jake Simpson (bruised ribs) and Josh Calvert (hamstring) will be hoping to recover from knocks picked up in the last couple of weeks.
When the two sides met at Borough Park in November, Matty Tymon netted twice in a 3-0 victory but the Derbyshire side have hardly been off the foot of the table since. They have obtained 25 points from their forty two games played thanks to four wins and thirteen draws.
It will be Reds first visit to Belper (Sat Nav: DE56 1BA) for eleven years, a venue they have only once won previously.
