History

Wotton Rugby Football Club (RFC) was formed in 1991 by a group of local players and the following year gained affiliation to the Gloucestershire Rugby Football Union (GRFU) as well as joining the local Gloucestershire leagues. It remains a grass roots club that provides the local community with the opportunity to enjoy rugby whilst having exciting opportunities to grow and develop.

From the start of the 2006/7 season, Wotton RFC has been the first permanent resident at "New Road" on the site of the Wotton Community Sports Foundation (WCSF) development. In fact, the Club is a founding member of the WCSF and fully supports the aim of WCSF to create sporting opportunities for people of all ambitions, abilities and ages within the local community.
