First game of the season

One man went to mow... 30 photos
There's a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes before a rugby game takes place on a Saturday afternoon.
Here's some photos of some - by no means all - of those who give up their own time to help the club function and make things happen.
If you see any of these people out and about give them a knowing nod of approval and appreciation, maybe offer to buy them a beer, they are the lifeblood of a small club like Wotton RFC and the world is a better place with their like about. So a beer is a small price to pay.

Our first game of the season is against Aretians on Saturday 10 Sep k.o. @ 2:30 p.m. at KLB. Everybody welcome. Play, support, shout and cheer...the more the better.

The first section of pictures is of Wotton's very own Digger From Down Under - Steve Merrikin. A country bumpkin at heart and now with a tractor! Strewth. But where's Joey and Bluey though?
After that, Lee Barton practicing walking in a straight line and using his liner for zimmer training - good job fella! I may have to borrow that liner for some zimmer training of my own. Interspersed with pix of Sparky Spuddy Chappel and his faithful apprentice Tom 'Too Tall' Horton fixing the floodlights for training nights (Thursdays at 7 pm, all welcome).
