High winds made this a game of two halves!
Wotton lost the toss and played with the wind in the first half. Spirited Norton defence and their pack playing well at scrum time meant that scoring was difficult despite the pressure applied by Wotton. The deadlock was broken at the 20 minute mark with a penalty kick by Rob Marlow. More pressure from Wotton saw Dan Durber go really close in a kick and chase for the line. Another penalty from Marlow put Wotton six points up. And despite further pressure Wotton were unable to increase their lead so it was 0-6 at half time.
Norton scored an early try out wide early in the second half and then went into the lead with a penalty.
A charge down by Gareth Davies saw him go close to scoring, but it wasn't to be and the final score of 8-6 showed how close the two teams were in a hard fought game.
