It's a 4 from Louis

After winning our group in the league cup we were given a home tie in the Quarter Final against 1st Division Ossett Albion.

Ossett were second in their division with just 2 defeats all season & a stern test was expected. Unfortunately for them they only had 10 men and a goal in the first 2 minutes from Ryan Clay and his 2nd a few minutes later put the writing on the wall.

The 4G pitch suits the lads and they were passing the ball about, keeping possession & making our opponents work hard. Full backs Aaron Morris & Luke Meadows were getting forward & the midfield 3 of Ryan, Oli Priestley Standing & Ayden Ambrose were dominant.

Ossett rarely threatened but a last ditch tackle from Ben Sutcliffe on the one occasion they did stopped them getting on the scoreboard.

Further goals, a brace from Louis Sterling & 1 from Waqas Iqbal gave us a comfortable 5-0 half time lead.

Not a lot to say at half time just beware complacency and keep the passing going. A couple of changes to give the subs some game time but it was still one way traffic.

Louis Sterling capped a Man of the Match performance with 2 further goals.

Kai Milburn had been a threat all game with 5 assists (according to him) & got a thoroughly deserved goal himself slotting it past the keeper from 10 yards out. Callum Woodrup finished the scoring off with a good finish into the corner from just inside the box.

9-1 at full time & a semi-final place booked. Well done lads!!!
