Last weekends result at Ely was reflective of Wymondham’s missed opportunities and lapses in defensive concentration. An array of promising attacks in offensive positions were squandered by inconsistencies and a lack of cutting edge.
This weekend, the Red and Blacks welcome high-flying Stowmarket to Tuttles Lane. Stowmarket have been in fine form throughout the season and are vying against Southwold for the league title. Wymondham started well in the previous tie against Stowmarket but were outrun and outscored in the latter stages.
There is a new look Wymondham side this week, considering the unavailability of Matty Goodwin, Conor Airdrie, Lee Bartlett, Liam Browning, Josh Wright, Andy Mcalister, James Burrell, Charlie Delaney, Tom Poole, James Swinborne and Jamie Hunter.
However, coach, Tom Armes is boosted by the returns of Lee Summers, Ian James, James Softley, Tom Midgely, Alex Wigney and Andy Davies. Whilst Dan Cane and Charlie Larwood will be making their first appearances of the season, following good form for the 2nd XV.
