With the results from last weekend, Wymondham 2nd XV now sit 4 points clear at the top of the table. However, they now face Watton at home who have managed some Impressive results with only 1 home loss this season.
The 2nd XV have had a bit of a shake up in the lineup with the loss of The Wish, Connor Airdrie, Dave Sillet, James Berryman, Auden Aidre, Darren Wilson, and Matthew Hood all unavailable due to injury, unavailability or moving up to the 1st XV.
The team however have been bolstered by the return of Ian James, James Coleman,Tom Masters, Nial Airdrie, James Burrell, Sean Rix and Onisimo Sigakalele Returning to the squad with Tom Martin and James Soudain making their 2nd XV Debut.
The pressure is now on Wymondham to take control of the top spot and put in the performance we all know they are capable of. A win this weekend would mean the 2nd XV would be 11 games without a loss and would put them in a good position to see them chase their vision of promotion and League Champions.
Captain Ollie Wright said "As we all know, when you're on top of any league, everyone wants to get one up on you. We have a lot to gain from this game, but even more to lose! We need to turn up and show a good Watton side (Who are not to be underestimated) how and why we are at the top of the league"
Coach Richard Davis added "The Team have come off the back of some impressive wins to put us in good contention for the league however, the players need to avoid complacency, this will be a tough fixture".
Any traveling support would be appreciated and it is guaranteed to be a good game of rugby! #UpThe2s
