"Well here we go. Another pre season is done and dusted. Maybe the most productive I’ve had yet. We’ve signed a few new faces and bought back a few familiar faces. I think we are now stronger than we have ever been.

We have had a very good Pre season overall with 4 wins and 2 losses. Played a good mix of sides and mostly the performances have been of a high standard. We’ve scored goals with more ease and other than 1 particularly poor performance looked steady at the back. Ultimately I am very pleased but it means nothing come Saturday. In typical Wyrley fashion we don’t have or make things easy, we travel to league favourites Gornal Athletic to start our campaign.

If there is a deep end this young side have been thrown it in it. However I believe at our best we will cause anyone problems. So fingers crossed we can start strongly.

I have set the lads very lofty targets for the season and they know the standards Bill and myself have set. If they reach those standards we can have a very good season. As always we cannot do it without the support of you fans. Please continue to get behind us through the good and bad days. Hopefully there will be plenty more of the former.

Wyrley kick off the season with an away trip to Gornal Athletic tomorrow afternoon. Kick off is 3PM at Garden Walk Stadium, Dudley, DY3 2NR. Admission is £5 Adults and £3 Concessions. We hope to see a few Wyrley fans in the crowd!
