It was a game dominated by great batting performances: Sessay's Olivia Breese scored 103 not out as the strong Sessay team posted a commanding total of 163. The target looked unassailable, but Yapham opener Maisie Hughes's two early 4's set a positive tone and Amelia Love then hit 17 boundaries in a commanding innings scoring 93 not out, with Mia Aconley's confident 30 helping the Yapham girls reach the target with three overs and 3 wickets left.

Although it was the batting that dominated, the others in the team (Emily Whitehouse, Imogen Bird, Grace Ogden and Olivia Ogden) also played their part in the victory with some determined bowling and fielding in what several of the many spectators said was one of the best u13 girls' cricket games they had seen.
