Yapham had a comfortable eight wicket victory over Stamford Bridge. In hot conditions, Andy lost the toss and Stamford Bridge batted first. However Yapham consistently took wickets with great bowling from Kat Young (two wickets), Harry Moore (two wickets), Henry Duncan (one wicket), Alfie Allen (one wicket) and Deri Reed-Thomas with four.

Skye Finnigan bowled excellently and was unlucky not to get a couple of wickets due to dropped catches. Stamford ended up 109 all out.

In response Yapham started well despite the early loss of Deri. Vice-captain and wicket-keeper extraordinaire Jon Coote batted brilliantly, with a great partnership with Alfie who attacked the bowling with some excellent shots. He was finally well caught for 27.

In came the veteran Jules Finnigan, who after a shaky, start played some great shorts to hit the winning runs.

Player of the match was a tough decision, but in the week of his 40th birthday, Jon Coote kept brilliantly and achieved an unbeaten half century as Yapham sailed home.
