Is this the start of the season?

Its with great sadness or then again it may be even happiness to some people, with the new updates from the government that sport is able to make a come back. But unfortunately for those who are craving rugby, this is still not the case.
There is light at the end of the tunnel for us all, along with the RFU and government guidance we can confirm as a club that Yardley and District RFC are going to start "SOCIAL DISTANCING" fitness training. We are currently still undertaking guidance from various sources for the best and safest way these activities that can be done for players.
But hopefully by the middle of the week [3rd June'20] we will have the answers we need and the club will start senior fitness training on the following Saturday [8th June'20].

"Is it safe" we hear people asking! Yes, we at Yardley and District RFC are making sure we are sticking by the government ruling about 2 meters social distancing and will keep a record of attendance for the track and trace record and until we get a further go ahead from the RFU, NMRFU and the government; we will not be doing any close quarter contact. The guideline from the RFU can be found on their website or the NMRFU website about Covid-19 along with the governments own website.

Unfortunately we still have no definitive update on when we can reopen the club for all members and supporter, but will hopefully have a update from the people who run the club in the next few weeks, this will be from the Club Chairman Sean O'Sullivan, the Club Captain Lloyd Winters and the Youth Chair Anne Pavey.

Please remember we are all in this together and to make it work we need to be as one, its just like rugby's core values [RESPECT, TEAMWORK, ENJOYMENT, DISCIPLINE & SPORTSMANSHIP].
