As many of will know by now I have to announce the passing peacefully of Mr Raymond Johnson El Presidente on Sunday morning. Raymond was with his family and our thoughts are with Liz, Martin, Phillipa and Georgi at this difficult time in losing a Father and Grandpa.

Ray was like so many in our great a game a true servant of the club fulfilling so many different roles ably supported by his wife Jean.
He will be best remembered for his outstanding role model as the Yarnbury RFC President for 30 years. A kinder generous and more humble man will be hard to find.
The love and respect for this lovely man has been shown by the countless messages we have received.

Raymond was rugby through and through and like many others at rugby clubs like our own devoted countless hours of his time to ensure his club was the best. He fulfilled many roles including initiating the formation of our junior section in the 60s. The juniors were dear to his heart and would be seen every Sunday supporting all age groups.

We will all have our own special memories and thoughts of Raymond, be it his Giant Redwoods to his famous or infamous driving skills. The speeding on the 'Paris peripherique' or his car in first gear all the way home come to my mind!

We have lost a great man physically but his memory and presence will be with us all forever in our hearts. His mantra of 'eye to the thigh' and tackle low will be imprinted in many minds.

We will celebrate his long and fulfilled life when we are able.

Raymond we will miss you greatly. Our thoughts are with the family.
