PREVIEW: Yate Town v Moneyfields - Play Offs Semi Final

By Sebastian Parker

The Bluebells face Moneyfields tomorrow evening in the Play Offs.

After a tremendous season, all eyes now turn to the play offs as Yate try for promotion.

Paul Britton’s side finished third in the table, surrendering second place on the last day of the season after a 3-0 defeat at Street. Our opponents Moneyfields finished in fourth spot.

These two sides met at Lodge Road early on into the season and it was a tight affair ending in a 1-1 draw with Moneyfields snatching a point with a last minute equaliser.

The winners of tomorrow’s game will face the winners of the other semi final between Cirencester Town (2nd) & Cinderford Town (5th), with the final being played at the highest finishing sides ground.

Polly’s View:
“There should a tremendous atmosphere for the semi final at Lodge Road tomorrow evening. Although our form has stuttered in recent weeks, the players are all focused on what is sure to be a very entertaining game. I don’t think many would have picked Yate Town as a play off contender when the season began after recent seasons, we are all really looking forward to a very exciting evening of knockout football. Moneyfields will prove very stern opponents and we must compete to a high level to gain a positive result on Wednesday.
Please come along and back the players as you have done all season“.

Team News:
Fully fit squad for the play off game.
Captain Nick Peare who missed the game on Saturday returns for the game tomorrow evening.
