Whilst tomorrow remains a crucial match for the Cuckoos in their quest for UCL Prem South survival, there is the side quest surrounding a trio of Yaxley FC legends coming towards the end of their careers.
When things were going sideways for this football club in the Northern Premier League, Dan Cotton, Liam Hook, and JP Duncliffe were among the last ones to leave the club as Sammy Mould became manager. JP also had a previous spell where he was part of the pioneering FA Cup sides of the early 2000's.
Between them, they had been two games from Wembley in the FA Vase (see picture below) and won the United Counties League.
All are part of the March Town playing and coaching set-up, and it will be the last time we see the three of them in a competitive match (wink wink - we may still see them at the Drove one last time, but enough of that for now).
Despite the obvious emotion around this occasion, and March wanting to head into the play-offs in good nick, this is a massive game for our club and one that could help keep us at this level.
So please get along and make as much noise as you can. Make the allotment end as loud as it was mid-week against FC Peterborough, you just never know what might happen.
