"We learned our lessons from the first match for sure" said Head Coach Andrew Burgess of his players.
"We were short of bodies, James Rhodes and Graham Duff were injured and we pulled Damian Cleveland in from the crowd after one training session with us. That's the spirit of the club. We would also like to thank Hampton who let us fill our bench with Cambridge University Ladies players"
The patched up Yaks made a much better match of it and were as close to getting something from the game as the score line suggests. Again it was a late score, controversially given by the match official when a touch and pass looked the most likely decision.
"Overall we didn't want to go home having lost every match" said Burgess as his players enjoyed a post match barbeque and DJ set.
"But let's be clear. Most of our side hadn't even held a ball 11 months ago, so for us to be part of these competitions is something quite special."
