Winter storms have a lot to answer for at the moment.
Fences are down, greenhouses smashed and that is just my garden.
This latest round of the Winter Touch League started with Yaks up against it thanks to the storm delaying players who were in various locations thanks to their work commitments. We also had a farmer in the starting line up, despite having been lambing since 4am.
We started this match with the requisite 6 and only one sub and were playing into the teeth of the icy gale.
Bad times.
The Ospreys are packed with tricky fast young players and they quickly opened the scoring.
Yaks were overawed though and had a couple of chances at the other end before our reinforcements arrived and we were able to rotate playing staff a bit more.
However the slow start cost us and despite trying to chase the game we were beaten by a better side.
