Here's a few bits & pieces of info. about Pete
Background:
I was born and live in Newcastle, New South Wales, which is around 2 hours North of Sydney.
I am 24 and currently studying High School Science Teaching at Newcastle University.
My heritage is from Poland and Scotland
Cricket Career:
I have played cricket for as long as I can remember, starting in the backyard against my brother, before starting competitive cricket from the age of 7.
I started playing 1st Grade for 'Wests' in the Newcastle District Competition when I was 16 and have represented Newcastle at Colt and Development levels.
I spent 2 Summers playing in Scotland for Dumfries in the Scottish Premier league in 2013/14.
I am an opening bowler with Best Bowling figure 6 for 8 and a lower order batsman with a High Score of 91.
Aims for this UK Season:
My main aim for the upcoming season is to gain promotion for the Bohos. I'd also like to get involved with helping the Youth/Colts players making the step-up to the Seniors.
Advice for Young Cricketers:
The best piece of advise I have for young cricketers, is that games are won during the week at training and that you should train with the same intensity as a game.
Coaching:
I'm keen to work with the Boho Colts this Summer to help develop their games. I'll be helping out at the Friday Coaching Sessions & have been asked to get involved with coaching the U19 squad too.
I'm looking forward to meeting more of the Boho family over the coming weeks...
