Curtain comes down on another season

With only one league game left for the First Team against UEA on Tuesday 23rd April, for the clubs other sides, the season has now finished with the Sunday side finishing with a 2-2 draw at Hellesdon in their debut campaign whilst although a 5th placed finish has been achieved for the Reserves in the league, they still have silverware to play for after accepting an invitation to play in this years Bungay Charity Cup. They will play Spexhall in the quarter finals of the knockout competition on 17th April at Bungay Town’s Maltings Meadow ground.

The First Team are ending the season well with back to back wins over Easton and Aylsham and can still record a third or fourth place finish if they can beat league leaders UEA in their final fixture and other results go our way.

The Reserves also finished the season strongly scoring 14 goals in their last 3 games including victory over champions Belton but a poor spell mid season in an otherwise positive campaign for the side probably cost them in their bid for promotion. Promotion will again be the aim next season from Division 5 South which again has proven to be a very difficult division to get out of.

The Sunday side have shown massive signs of improvement in their first ever season. Despite their league position the youngsters have shown great promise that they can push on next year with many players playing in their first season of adult football. A number of these lads have also played in both of the clubs Saturday sides so progression looks promising for the club.
