Mainly U17 and U18 players set Yendys with another new line-up as they continue to experience difficulties in player availability. Nevertheless the players soon settled down to the task and although they had to cope with an experienced Oldbury side. They were not outshone for most of the “cat and mouse” encounter. Yendys caught up several times with Vanessa Lyne in fine scoring form supported with energetic and good goal scoring from Tyler Haynes. Despite Yendys’ efforts Oldbury sneaked into the lead several times usually by 3 goals.

Oldbury finished the 3rd quarter leading 35-33 and were denied time, by the whistle for end of quarter, to get the ball to their shooting circle. With the advantage of the first centre pass in the 4th quarter, Yendys were in with a chance of another catch up and did just that but then the goal scoring went tit-for-tat. With the score 43-42 Yendys’ fortune changed as Oldbury went in for the kill monopolising on several Yendys mistakes they stretched their lead to run out 50-43 victors.
