3 wins and a draw makes for a great day of hockey

in the 2nd stage of the Somerset u14s tournament, Bruton produced some fantastic team play to come away smiling

With a change of schedule we were in at the deep end from the start, but held our nerve to come away with a 1-0 win against Bridgwater, from then on confidence was high and we were in it to win it, the whole team gelled beautifully with Audrey passing the ball wide left and right from 16s for Evie, Alice and Ben to transfer the ball down the line for Flo and Ellie to transfer across the D for Jess to run onto backed up by the opposite to slot the ball into the goal.
In our 2nd game v Cheddar we closed down their 16s winning the ball numerous times forcing Cheddar into their back foot and chasing back to their D, final score 3-1 to Bruton.
Our next game proved a bit more trickier with Shepton attaching our goal after we gave to ball away to easily but this gave Isobel time to shine saving everything that came her way; on the counter attack the ball flew across Sheptons' goal numerous time but neither Jess nor Ellie could get their feet in the right place to slot the ball into the goal ended a fair 0-0 draw.
In our final game v chard the ball swung form end to end but some strong defending and goal keeping keep the ball out of our goal, to leave Bruton to play some amazing team play passing the ball wide before passing across the goal for Charlotte and Ellie to wiggle the ball over the line,
