All the goals came in the second half as the Yeltz proved too strong for the Millers who had matched their opponents for the first hour of the game.
Les McJannet made two changes from the side beaten by Leek last time out with Aaron Hooton and Billy Bennett returning in place of Alex Troke and Grant Brindley.
Halesowen had the first chance on eight minutes when ex-Coventry City striker Iyseden Christie headed into the path of Ben Haseley who beat Jonathon Viscosi but then shot wide of an open goal with a horrible miss.
Halesowen attacked again and Haseley and Aaron Griffiths both had shots blocked.
At the other end, some fine football by Bradley Munn, Danny Elliott and Billy Bennett lead to Lee Torr shooting just over the cross bar.
Kallum Keane then chipped the ball forward which bounced over Matthew Sargent in the Halesowen goal and hit the top of the crossbar.
Haseley shot just wide as the first half ended and brought a good save from Viscosi just after half time with Elliott Turner hitting the rebound over the bar.
The visitors took the lead on 54 minutes when Haseley read a flick into the penalty area quicker than the Millers defenders and lifted the ball over Viscosi into the net.
The Yeltz joy lasted just two minutes as Carlton levelled with a close range Elliott header after Brindley had headed on Bennett’s free kick.
Halesowen responded by lifting their game. Turner saw a shot blocked on the line before Christie put the loose ball onto the top of the net.
Neil MacKenzie then lifted a shot over the bar, before Kallum Keane made a great block from the same player.
Griffiths then saw a shot blocked before MacKenzie, picking up the loose ball, put a great chance over the top.
Viscosi had to be off his line quickly to save from Christie before Halesowen finally regained the lead with eleven minutes remaining. Asa Charlton crossed from the left and Haseley headed home unmarked.
The Yeltz wrapped up victory five minutes from time when Jean Gueyes got the final touch after a scramble in the Carlton six yard box.
