Bentley Bash Family Day Reminder

By Dale Brookes

DON'T FORGET this Saturday to get yourself down to Chasetown FC and support the Bentley Bash!

This Saturday 25th June, the clubs marquee will be hosting a family day fundraiser called ‘Bentley Bash reunion’ which is aimed at raising funds for St Giles Hospice.

Bentley Bash was formed by a lady called Sarah Bentley who lost her close friend to cancer in February last year, this was sadly followed by her own mother’s diagnosis just a fortnight later.

Sarah started out by arranging a barbecue fund raising event inviting close friends and family – but little did she know this would escalate into something bigger resulting in over 300 people attending on the day.

Last year’s event reached an amazing total of £2,237.50. This money was put towards helping the Chemotherapy Ward at Walsall Manor Hospital along with keeping the patients entertained through quizzes and internet browsing via Hudls.

Having raised such an unexpected amount - it has prompted Sarah and her family to create a reunion and to raise even more money, this time for St Giles Hospice.

There will be bouncy castles, face painting , a raffle with some great prizes and many other attractions throughout the day.

It also coincides with THREE Euro 2016 matches including teams like Wales and Croatia - we are therefore opening the club house up from 2pm-11pm on the day in order for all games to be seen on the big screen.

So if you are stuck for something to do or fancy a fun day out with the family, then pop to Chasetown FC for the ‘Bentley Bash reunion’ on what will be a fantastic day!

We hope to see you there!
