Road racing success

Good start to road racing season for DCC riders

The first Thursday evening Surrey League Handicap race of the season at Kitsmead Lane on 26th April saw a strong performance from Dorking CC members. Out of a field of over 60, Neil Houldey came in 9th and Justin Thomas 12th, with Ryan Peirce (racing for Surrey Hills Cycleworks) 2nd. Neil also picked up bonus points for being the first 4th Category rider over the line. The next Surrey League Handicap race is at the Newchapel circuit on 2nd May.

Don’t forget that the Club offers to pay for the Race Preparation Training sessions that are required to race in Surrey League events. A few other Dorking CC members have done their accreditation in April, so hopefully we’ll see the numbers of Dorking CC racers increasing through the season. The next training session planned is 29th June https://www.surreyleague.co.uk/race-preparation-training
