You fancy something a bit different? Here you go then - the opposition media view of the game. Contains way more footballing content than you'll ever get from me....
Mc had to shuffle the pack a little, with Sam Liversidge moving back into defence to replace the departed Smudge, Big Ant came back into the starting line up, Ice Burgin was back in the squad & Stan replaced the Non League Grobbelaar on the bench.
All things told, it was a scrappy game & goalscoring opportunities were very much at a premium. The Azzurri defended well & hardly yielded any clear cut chances. & Watt a way to win it - I love a last minute winner, although Watt on earth Watty was doing in the Spalding goalmouth in the dying seconds is anyones guess!! I suspect he was still tracking back from a previous corner. As you'll see from the video footage in the link, the goal sparked a massive 'all pile on' in front of the hordes of away fans.
WEBMASTER MOTM - the defensive unit (including Hugo) were outstanding & Todd & Tyler linked up well in midfield. I'm starting to get a bit repetitive but Ant Wilson was an absolute battleship once again, he takes some frightful hammer every game & just gets up & gets on with it. He blocked off 2 defenders & shielded the ball to allow Killer Watt to smash home the winner. But the Glitterball is going to The Fire McGuire - he was in the thick of everything & I think he missed one tackle all game. He's the anchor that allows Todd & Tyler to push forward. Well done sir
TWITTER POLL MOTM - Killer Watt was a clear winner, with The Fire, Todd & Youngy all polling votes too. Thank you to everyone who took the time out to vote.
125 through the gate with a good number of Blues fans in attendance once again.
Next up we're away at Stamford next Saturday - if anyone wants to travel, get in touch with John Longbottom
