Club Membership for 2019/2020 Season

Houghton are mainly dependant on subscriptions from playing members for the running of the club. We are a low-profit making enterprise, any profits made are invested into rugby.
The membership paid pays for the rugby experience of our members, pitch maintenance and hire, referee fees, playing kit, laundry, equipment, coaching costs etc.

All members are to pay membership costs, these are detailed below.

Senior Playing Member –
£10 per month to be paid via standing order. To be paid 12 months of the year.
Full time students entitled to a £2 per month discount. (evidence required)
No Match day fees

What is included in membership?
• 2 x training session per week from August (pre-season) to May (or the last rugby game)
• RFU Players insurance
• Post-match hot meal
• Use of playing shirt
• Access to sports massage (though term of Sunderland College)
• Level 2 and above coaching staff
• 1 to 1 coaching available on request
• Use of the clubhouse free of charge for functions (some exclusions apply)
• Opportunity to request international home England Tickets
• Membership Card
• Annual awards (Fee may apply)
• All utilities including, water, heat, light, cleaning
• The rugby experience and rugby family.
• Discounted drinks (Agreed at Players Dinners)

Please note that membership is on an annual basis.

Senior Guest Player –
£4 per match (home or away)

This charge is for guest players only. This player must be registered to another club or in the armed forces. They must have also paid the Social Membership Fee.

Youth Membership –
£7 per month to be paid via standing order. Sibling discount offered £5 for any additional children. To be paid 12 months of the year.

• RFU Players insurance
• Post-match hot meal. (hot dog - minis)
• Use of playing shirt (juniors only)
• Level 1 and above coaching staff
• Annual awards
• All utilities including, water, heat, light, cleaning
• The rugby experience and rugby family.

Please note that membership is on an annual basis.

Life Membership –
£250 one off payments to become a lifetime social member of the club (Over 45s can play 2nd team rugby for the guest player charge)

Social/parental membership –
£5 annual membership due in September of each year

What is included in membership?
• Entry to the clubhouse and ability to purchase from Bar/Kitchen
• Use of the clubhouse free of charge for functions (some exclusions apply)
• Opportunity to request international home England Tickets
• Membership card
• The rugby experience and rugby family.

Parental membership must be paid in order for the child to play rugby.

How do I become a member?

Senior –
Senior players must be registered on GMS to play rugby for the club. To register please contact Kaye-Louise Robson.
Once you have registered your details with Kaye-Louise Robson you will receive an email requesting the standing order is set up. This will come from houghtonrugbyclub@outlook.co.uk

Once this is set up your membership is complete.

Youth –
Follow the link https://gms.rfu.com/GMS/CreateAccount/?OrganisationId=952 to register your child to play
Please ensure that you complete all sections of registration including child photo, school information and parent/guardian details.

Once your registration is accepted by the club you will receive confirmation of registration and details on how to pay via email. This will come from houghtonrugbyclub@outlook.co.uk

All players must have one paid social/parental member guardian.

Once this is done your membership is complete.

Transfers from other clubs must contact Kaye-Louise Robson to register and NOT use the above link.

Social Membership.

Just pop to the bar, pay your £5 and collect your membership card.
