Event: In2Hockey – Suffolk Tournament Date: Sunday 11th March 2019 Times: 09:00 - 12:00 (approx) Location: Felixstowe Academy (Maidstone Campus) - IP11 9DE Cost: £5 (cash only please) Equipment: All players must have mouthguards and shin pads (and sticks). Kit: We will have shirts for everyone. Please wear dark blue skorts and dark blue socks (official kit is available at Coes) Contact: On the day I can be contacted on 07796 174662 The U12 Girls In2Hockey tournament will be hosted by Felixstowe Hockey Club at the Felixstowe Academy site in Felixstowe on Sunday 12th November. The entrance at 92 Maidstone Rd, Felixstowe IP11 9ED, a fairly inconspicuous side road which, when the Google car last went past (in 2010), was still sign-posted as “Orwell High School”: https://goo.gl/maps/a6DpXfrbrSq. In2Hockey is the same 7-a-side format we played earlier in the season for the Suffolk Youth League fixtures. However, this tournament is competitive with the winners going on to regional and potentially national tournaments (in April and May). Despite being competitive there is still an emphasis on the games being enjoyable and everyone will get time on the pitch. The tournament is expected to start at 09:30 so we will need to be there for 09:00 to warm up. I do not have the full fixture list at present but would expect the tournament to finish by around 12pm. There is a £5 fee match fee to cover costs. The players can come off and go back on again, with all players being given an opportunity to play in all matches. Please remember to bring lots of warm clothes for the players and yourselves to use between games! As parents, you will be expected to ensure that you, or someone else, has responsibility for your child at all times. Coaches and team managers will not be able to look after them for the periods when they do not have matches. Note that there will not be any training at Tuddenham Road for under 12 girls on Sunday.
