A Great Pair Of Draws!

This rearranged fixture with Cambridge City meant a long mid-week trip for Julian McCalmon's troops, however they put in another terrific performance to take a point from the game in their battle to avoid relegation.

The match had to be replayed because of the horrific injury suffered by Sam Warrell in the original fixture when 'The Greens' were 3 - 0 down. The performance last night was one of passion and commitment, one of which Skipper Sam would have been proud of.

On the night 0-0 was about right as neither side had done enough to win it, with Kidlington's stand in keeper Nick Lacy having a good solid match.

This result and the all important point that came with it, came hot on the heels of the excellent point won at play off chasing Didcot Town last Saturday in our 2 - 2 draw at The Loop. In fact Kidlington had been 2 - 0 down at the break in this one, and came back with a vengeance in the second half with goals from Declan Benjamin and Anaclet Odhiambo to restore parity.

These two results and the two points gained from them could make all the difference in Kidlington's bid to avoid relegation come the end of the season.

Next up is a home match at Yarnton Road stadium against league leaders Peterborough Sports this Saturday afternoon, kick off 3:00pm.
