With the added bonus of the return of club legend Paul Harwood to our management set up.

Kidlington Development are delighted to announce that they have retained the services of the management team of Nick East, Barry Hiles and Graham Rice for the coming 2019/20 season with the added bonus of the return to the club of club legend Paul Harwood. “H” will bring a wealth of knowledge and coaching skills to the team and will be a fantastic addition.

Friendlies arranged so far are: Sat 13th July Chesterton away, Sat 20th July Mansfield Road Home, Sat 27th July Horspath Away and a provisional friendly versus Bourton Rovers away on Sat 3rd August although this depends on whether the league campaign starts for the greens on that day.

This follows the most successful season ever for Kidlington’s second team in the clubs history, finishing in the highest ever position of sixth in Uhlsport Division One West and winning the OFA Oxfordshire Intermediate Cup for the first time in 34 years.

We are also delighted to announce that the Development Team have received some good news this week, they will again be operating at step 6 level. After initially being placed in Uhlsport Division One West for 2019/20 they have now been moved into the East division. Last season the team travelled a total of 1026 miles throughout the season and this was set to rise to 1550 miles next season because of the reconfiguration of the leagues. Because the greens were by far the furthest East within the division an appeal was made by Barry and Easty to the FA to move over to the East Division. This appeal has proved successful and our young team will now see a reduction in mileage to only 851 for the season.
