THIRD TIME LUCKY IN HOME RUN?

After going unbeaten in February and winning the Club of the Month award, Leek have had a disappointing week suffering two consecutive defeats against Trafford and Kidsgrove Athletic.

By contrast Colwyn Bay have had a couple of sensational wins in their last two games, beating Skelmersdale united 9-0 and then coming from 3-0 down at Newcastle town last Saturday to win 4-3.

The Welsh side have been in the news this week after opting to leave the English Pyramid system after 35 years and join the Welsh Leagues from next season.

Bay Chairman Bill Murray told the BBC, "My main concern was that the club survived and the only way that was going to happen was by going into the Welsh system. If we stay in England we won't survive as a club.”

The news means Town’s away fixture at Colwyn Bay on the final day of the season looks set to be Bay’s historic last game in the English non-league system.
