NEW FIRST TEAM MANAGER

Mortimer Fc are delighted to announce that they have managed to secure Steve Melledew Jnr as the new first team manager. In recent years there have been several changes and it was felt that the addition of “Mellers” to the team would be a huge plus. Previous Manager Stuart Plumridge will continue to coach and oversee both Saturdays sides but also help with more tasks around the club. As soon as it was clear we could bring Steve to the club we felt he would be a great addition and compliment the good guys that are already involved.

Steve brings with him a wealth of experience and great history with Mortimer. Steve was part of many title and cup winning Mortimer sides. His last game for the club being at the Madjeski Stadium being part of a great double winning side. His enthusiasm and character are second to none and the players responded to his appointment at the weekend brilliantly. With several new players already signed and more to follow hopefully the whole club will receive a boost! Steve will be working alongside existing Assistant Mike Hancock Jnr and the club feel they now have the foundation to do well and progress up the league. Chairmen Ade Keep and John Davies would like to welcome Steve back to the club and wish him the best of luck in this new challenge. As always the bar is open match days pop in and see Steve and welcome him back, I am sure he won’t refuse a pint or the chance to tell you what a great striker he was !
