Bletchley beckons for the Scouts!

Liam gets his Tackling on!

This week while the rest of the squad were training a trusted band were sent to take on Bletchley on their home ground.

Old Scouts under 9's vs Bletchley

On a cold Valentine morning in Bletchley the Old Scouts development squad came to do battle.

As the first game got under way, the Scouts showed that quick line speed was the focus of the day, putting Bletchley on the back foot from the start. Then as the scouts applied the pressure it was only a matter of time before Bletchley knocked on. The Scouts were quick to attack scoring the first try of the day. The game continued in much the same way as the scouts turned up the pressure to keep a clean sheet.

The second game was much like the first. The Scouts played excellent rugby and Bletchley were overwhelmed by the scouts defence once again. Bletchley finally found a gap in the defence wall and scored.

The Scouts carried on playing fantastic rugby into the third game and finished the morning on a high. Nine great young rugby players went home with smiles on their faces.

Player of the week is getting harder to choose each week, with all the players playing so well and trying so hard. This week thought, it was awarded to Liam Fowkes for putting in 110%.
