Cents kept up the pressure for the league play off spot with a comfortable win over a hard working Quins side who never gave up on their attacking style of play.However, Cents proved to strong for the Quins and dominated all aspects of play both in attack and defence in a good all round team performance.
Cents led 33-7 at half time having scored five tries thereby securing the all important bonus point and they scored their tries through Alex Cox(2),Ross Hannaford(2) plus Sol Farrer. Wayne Mulhern converted four of the tries and the score reflected Cents dominance.
Cents never relaxed their grip on the game and scored a further six tries in the second half as the Quins tired.Cents try scorers were Josh Phillips,Ross Hannaford(Third) and George Bvuma(4) and Wayne Mulhern converted 5 of the tries to complete Cents scoring.Final score 73-7 to Cents and this was their biggest score of the season.
Cents now pay their attention to this coming weeks NGC cup game against Spartans on Tuesday night and this will not be any match with local pride at stake.Spartans will not be taken lightly as they look to have achieved promotion to the Western counties league plus they are a club famed for their past history in the cup.
Following that game Cents have a difficult league match at Wotton Bassett on Saturday and this is a place were Cents have struggled over the years both before the advent of league rugby and after.Cents have reached the crunch point of the season where they must get something from the match in order to maintain their play off hopes.
