Nondies sign young Aussie batsman

Mitch is a young batsman from country Victoria playing in the Bairnsdale Cricket Association. He played his first A grade games in the 2015/16 season and has got back into the swing of the top level this season playing in a very young team. He can also bowl medium pace seam when required.

He is excited to be coming over to join OBNCC for the 2019 season.

He says ‘I'm looking to get out and see what the rest of the world has to offer, hopefully getting to do some travel at some stage whether it's after or during the season. Along with hopefully playing my part in gaining some success with OBNCC’.

Mitch is also keen to have a look at the Ashes (being an Aussie in England for The Ashes could be an interesting one for you mate!) and the Cricket World Cup which both take place in England in the summer.

Australian woman all-rounder Sophie Molineux is also expected to be playing in the Women’s Ashes and Mitch is also hoping to watch her as she also plays at the same club and he has known her for years.

Mitch has also got experience in dealing with juniors and will be supporting Howard and the youth team section with coaching support for the youngsters.

We look forward to welcoming Mitch to the club and to England and we are looking forward to a successful season with him on board.
