Q: The lads have had a few sessions back and the squad has been significantly strengthened, how happy are you, Andy and Ben with the additions?
Lee: “We felt at the back end of the season that we didn't have the numbers or quality to be able to change a game if it wasn't quite going our way. We purposely targeted positions that we knew needed more bodies and we're delighted with all the new lads that have signed and not to mention that all the lads who were here have happily committed to the club despite offers from other clubs in the area.”
Q: Games against professional clubs are always exciting for non league clubs, whether it be in cup competitions or friendlies, how different do you envisage this game being compared to playing other non league clubs?
Lee: “It's going to be a brilliant occasion for Parkgate as I'm sure it is has been every year gone by. It's going to be hard graft for the lads. Obviously the pros are going to be fitter than our lads and no doubt have a lot of quality.”
Q: We are hopeful for a large crowd Saturday, do you think this changes your players mentality playing in front of a much bigger attendance than normal?
Lee: “The big crowd adds to the occasion for our lads I think. The majority of them won't have played in front of a crowd like it, apart from Starosta obviously. But we will be telling our lads to try and just do your thing simple and not to try and over play in areas that we could be easily punished. Most of all they need to enjoy the game.”
Q: On a personal note, what’s your feelings on sharing a touchline with Paul Warne against a good Rotherham United side?
Lee: “I'm looking forward to meeting Paul and Richard. I know they're highly thought of by the fans and seem down to earth guys. Hopefully myself and Andy can learn a bit from them in the 90 minutes. I can't wait now!”
